Embracing Change Meditation

When the shift into Autumn starts to occur, there are so many lessons we can experience from it. When we look at what nature is doing at this time, it is often reflecting the energy that is also happening within us & around us in our lives. It is the time to rejoice in that last glow of Summer warmth, but also a time to learn to let go of what no longer serves us. The dead weight that is no longer necessary must fall away & it is up to us how long we want to hold onto it for. Once we realize it's no longer needed as part of our journey, it becomes easier to let go & embrace change.  This is the beauty of Autumn, as it physically shows us how immensely beautiful change can be.
Around or on Mabon / The Autumn Equinox, take a moment to set up a simple outdoor altar, 3 candles ( mind, body, spirit ) & a primary candle in the color of red to ignite the power of change from the Root Chakra. Add any crystals or oils you feel drawn to if you want. Focus most of your time in a calm walking meditation outside, collecting leaves that show the full spectrum of the shift of the season & place them in a wheel shape around your primary candle. With each one placed, say " I embrace change, I let go of that which no longer serves me." Once the wheel of leaves are completed, take time to sit in silent meditation & feel what it is to let go of the extra emotional baggage that may be burdening you & visualize how effortlessly the trees let the dead leaves flutter away.
At the end, take your favorite autumn blend incense & use the smoke to bathe the bottom of your feet ( to strengthen your connection to earth ) & the rest of your aura.
Blow out your candles. Take a sharpie marker & on each leaf write "Thank you." When the wind picks up, release them & let your burdens flutter away & step into the powerful new energy of newly embraced change.
Brightest Blessings,
